MIAMI — The Coast Guard rescued two divers who went missing near Wilkes Barre-Wreck, Sunday.
Coast Guard 7th District watchstanders received a report from the National Command Center stating the two divers were approximately an hour overdue on a commercial vessel and needed Coast Guard assistance.
Coast Guard Sector Key West watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and launched a 45-foot Response Boat—Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Key West and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Miami.
The RB-M crew arrived on scene and located both divers together via their strobe light and reported no medical concerns.
The divers were safely brought back aboard the dive vessel.
