Coast Guard rescue crews transport injured man for medical aid

BOSTON – U.S. Coast Guard rescue crews transported an injured man to from Nantucket, Mass., to Boston for medical aid, Jan. 18, 2011.

Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod watch standers received a telephone call from Nantucket Cottage Hospital requesting to transport a 48-year old male to Boston Medical Center at approximately 3:30 p.m.

An HU-25 Falcon Jet crew met emergency medical services (EMS) at Nantucket Airport. The rescue crew flew the man to Logan International Airport where EMS was waiting to transport the man.
