Coast Guard requests public assistance in locating missing Bokeelia man

FORT MEYERS, Fla. – The Coast Guard, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and Lee County Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Robert Lemon, a resident of Bookelia, Fla.

According to friends, Lemon left a Matlacha, Fla., marina, Sept. 4, and failed to return as expected after a “couple of days”.

Lemon is an 85 year-old white male, approximately 5-feet, 10 inches tall with white hair. His sailboat is a blue 25-foot Catalina sailboat with blue bimini top and Florida registration. Lemon reportedly may be accompanied by a man named “Dave.”

Anyone with information regarding Lemon’s whearabouts is requested to contact the Coast Guard via VHF Channel 16, Sector St. Petersburg at 727-842-7506, or Lee County Sheriff’s Department.
