HONOLULU — Stacy Bilodeau, currently residing in Hawaii and representing the U.S. Coast Guard, is one of the six finalists for the Armed Forces Insurance Branch Military Spouse of the Year.

Bilodeau was named the Coast Guard’s representative, along with five other finalists, one each, representing the Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, National Guard and Navy.

Bilodeau is married to Petty Officer 1st Class Jeremy Bilodeau, a culinary specialist stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Galveston Island (WPB 1349) homeported at Sand Island in Honolulu, Hawaii, where they live with their two children. She has spent the last two years focused on assisting fellow military spouses, ensuring they have access to the information, resources and networking opportunities to help them navigate life in the military.

In 2017, Bilodeau volunteered to be on the Joint Spouses’ Conference Board, which is a non-profit, one-day conference produced by volunteer spouses from all military branches. The event involves workshops, guest speakers, entertainment and an information/resource marketplace. Her vision for the future is to bring this type of conference to the rest of the United States.

Bilodeau, a graphic designer, also serves as a Coast Guard ombudsman and runs marathons. She volunteers in the local community, co-leading a Girl Scout troop and working with Habitat for Humanity.

Nominations for the Armed Forces Insurance Branch Military Spouse of the Year from non-family members were accepted Jan. 2 to 31 across all branches of the U.S. military. Branch winners were selected through a combination of popular vote and judging panels. March 2, a final vote was taken. The overall winner will be announced May 10 at the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore Annual Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C.
