Coast Guard Repatriates 4 Cubans

The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Drummond repatriated four Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cabanas, Cuba, Saturday.

This group of four Cuban migrants, originally part of 33, were interdicted by the crew of a Coast Guard 33-foot Special Purpose Craft from Station Key West, Fla., nine miles south of the Dry Tortugas, Fla., Feb. 9. Twenty nine of the 33 Cuban migrants were repatriated Feb. 17 and the two suspected smugglers were transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in Key West.

Once aboard Coast Guard Cutters all migrants are given food, water, shelter and any necessary medical treatment.

The cutter Drummond is a 110-foot patrol boat homeported in Key West, Fla.
