MIAMI РThe crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Kodiak Island repatriated 36 Cuban migrants to Bahia de Caba̱as, Cuba today at 10 a.m.
On February 8, the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Reliance interdicted four Cuban migrants on a rustic vessel 20 miles north of Havana, Cuba.
The following day, a boat crew from Coast Guard Station Marathon, Fla., interdicted a go-fast vessel with eight Cuban migrants on board approximately 35 miles south of Marathon. A suspected smuggler was also detained and transferred to Customs and Border Protection agents for possible prosecution.
On February 10, the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Sawfish interdicted 21 Cuban migrants on a rustic vessel approximately 56 miles southwest of Key West, Fla.
The day after , the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Chandeleur interdicted a go-fast vessel with three Cuban migrants on board 15 miles north of Cay Sal Bank, Bahamas.
Once on board Coast Guard cutters, all migrants receive food, water and any necessary medical treatment.
