Coast Guard repatriates 15 Cuban migrants, 47 Haitian migrants

7th Coast Guard District NewsMIAMI — The Coast Guard interdicted 15 Cuban migrants and 47 migrants at sea during four separate incidents since Sep. 2.

The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Key Biscayne repatriated eight Cuban migrants to Bahi de Cabanas, Cuba, Friday.

The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Resolute repatriated 47 Haitian migrants to Cap Haitien, Haiti, Tuesday.

The crew of the Key Biscayne repatriated seven Cuban migrants to Bahia de CabaƱas, Monday.

Once aboard a Coast Guard cutter, all migrants are provided with food, water, shelter and basic medical attention.

The Key Biscayne is a 110-foot patrol boat homeported in Key West, Fla.

The Resolute is a 210-foot medium-endurance cutter homeported in St. Petersburg, Fla.
