Coast Guard repatriates 13 Cuban migrants

7th Coast Guard District NewsMIAMI — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Kodiak Island repatriated 13 Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba, Friday.

The migrants were interdicted at sea Saturday by the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Knight Island.

Once aboard a Coast Guard cutter, all migrants receive food, water, shelter, and basic medical attention.

The cutters Kodiak Island and Knight Island are 110-foot patrol boats homeported in Key West, Fla.
