Coast Guard reopens the Port of Everglades and Port of Palm Beach

MIAMI — The Coast Guard Captain of the Port has determined that the Port of Everglades is safe for marine traffic and reopened the port with no restrictions at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The Captain of the Port also has reopened the Port of Palm Beach with no restrictions as of 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Due to potential effects from Hurricane Irma throughout coastal Florida, mariners are urged to transit with caution considering the possibility of aids to navigation discrepancies or other hazards to navigation. If discovered, please report any of these issues to the United States Coast Guard.

Mariners can view the latest port updates on the Coast Guard’s Homeport site.
