Coast Guard reopens Port of Savannah, Brunswick and Charleston without restrictions

SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Coast Guard Captains of the Port (COTP) reopened the Ports of Savannah, Brunswick and Charleston without restrictions on Thursday.

Due to potential effects from Hurricane Michael, mariners are urged to transit with caution considering the possibility of aids to navigation discrepancies or other hazards to navigation.

Please report any hazards to navigation to either Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Savannah at (912) 652-4353 or Coast Guard Sector Charleston at 843-740-7050.

Mariners can view the latest port updates on either the Sector Charleston Homeport site or the MSU Savannah Homeport site.
