Coast Guard recovers man overboard near Brigantine, N.J.

BRIGANTINE, N.J. – The Coast Guard recovered a 46-year-old man in the vicinity of the back bay near Brigantine after he fell off a recreational boat Wednesday.

The Coast Guard received a call at 3:17 p.m. from a person aboard a personal watercraft reporting a man went overboard and could not be located.

A rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., located the man and deployed the rescue swimmer down to him. A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Atlantic City recovered the man and transferred him to emergency medical personnel where he was pronounced deceased by the medical examiner.
