ASTORIA, Ore. — Coast Guard Group/Air Station Astoria and the Port of Astoria are hosting a free open house Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Astoria Regional Airport in Warrenton, Ore.
The event is open to the public and will include demonstrations and exhibitions by Air Station Astoria, Station Cape Disappointment, Wash., Aids to Navigation Team Astoria, Oregon Army National Guard, the Oregon Air National Guard, Coast Guard Spouses Association, Coast Guard Auxiliary and others.
The Astoria-Warrenton Chamber of Commerce will also host a dance in Air Station Astoria’s main hangar Friday beginning at 6 p.m. The dance will feature live music by the Salty Dogs and hors d’oeuvers by Union Town Cafe. Tickets are for sale for anyone age 14 and older at the Astoria-Warrenton Chamber of Commerce and several local businesses for $10. Tickets will be sold for $15 at the event. Babysitting will be provided for children under the age of 14 during the dance in the Air Station’s gym for a small donation.
Additionally, Pig’n Pancake is sponsoring a $6 pancake breakfast beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday in the hanger behind the passenger terminal. The proceeds will benefit programs and scholarships for children.
Parking is free for all events.
