NEW YORK — The Coast Guard and local partner agencies are searching for a man Sunday, after his 32-foot boat was found capsized and damaged near New Haven, Conn.

Missing is Michael Murphy.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound received a report from a good Samaritan stating they located an overturned vessel near the west breakwall in New Haven at approximately 9:15 a.m.,Sunday.

The command center issued an urgent marine information broadcast (UMIB) and launched a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew from Coast Guard Station New Haven. West Haven Fire Department-Marine unit also responded to the scene.

An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod has joined the search as well.
