CLEARWATER, Fla. – Coast Guard crewmembers from Station Cortez participated in the Great American Teach-In at Plumb Elementary School, Friday.
The Great American Teach-In brings professionals into local schools to demonstrate to children the benefits of getting a good education. During the visit, children were able to see a 24-foot Special Purpose Craft — Shallow Water and were educated about life jackets and the importance of wearing one while on the water.
