MIAMI — The Coast Guard and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office rescued two people from the water near the Lake Worth Inlet, Tuesday.
At 9:16 a.m., Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet received a notification from the Palm Beach Police Department of two people being swept into the water at the Lake Worth Inlet. Watchstanders launched a Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet 33-foot Special Purpose Craft Law-Enforcement crew who arrived on scene at 9:19 a.m. and rescued one person.
The PBSO rescued the other person from the water.
The Coast Guard boatcrew transferred the rescued individual to local emergency medical services for further medical care.
