Coast Guard, other agencies searching for boy in the water

65 New OrleansNEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard and other agencies are searching for a five-year-old boy in the water at mile marker 49 of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Sunday.

Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a call at 11:18 p.m., Saturday, about a five-year-old boy missing in the water, who is described as a Caucasian male wearing a blue and white life jacket.

A Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew, Coast Guard Station New Orleans 29-foot Response Boat-Small II crew, Lousiana Wildlife and Fisheries, as well as water, shoreline and K-9 patrols by LaFourche Parish and Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Offices are searching for the missing boy.
