SEATTLE — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 57-year old woman from the cruise ship Sea Princess, approximately 20 miles southwest of Cape Flattery, Wash., Wednesday.
Coast Guard Group/Air Station Port Angeles, Wash., received a call at approximately 6:45 p.m., from the cruise ship Sea Princess requesting immediate medical evacuation of a passenger due to severe abdominal pain.
Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles launched a rescue helicopter crew to hoist the woman and transport her to Group/Air Station Port Angeles, where medical personnel transported her to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles.
The Sea Princess is transiting from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada to San Fransisco, Calif.
The woman’s medical condition is unknown at this time.
