KEY WEST, Fla. — The Coast Guard medevaced a 46-year-old woman Thursday in the vicinity of Boot Key Harbor.

Coast Guard Station Marathon watchstanders received a call over VHF-FM channel 16 radio from a good Samaritan reporting a female aboard a pleasure craft in the vicinity of Boot Key Harbor was suffering from shoulder and back pain.

A 33-Foot Special Purpose Law Enforcement boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Marathon arrived on scene and transported the woman to Burrdines Marina for further medical assistance.
