NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard medevaced a 43-year-old woman from a research vessel approximately 130 miles southwest of the Southwest Pass today.
The Coast Guard received a call from the vessel Gordon Gunter at 3:05 p.m. Monday, reporting that a crewmember was suffering from chest pain and requested a medevac.
Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans launched an MH-65C Dolphin helicopter and crew and successfully lifted the crewmember into the helicopter and then transported her to West Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Marrero, La.
Her condition is unknown.
