NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard transported a 58-year-old female off a motor vessel approximately 10 miles south of the South Pass, Friday, Sept. 18, 2009.
The Coast Guard was contacted by a passenger on the motor vessel La Manche, reporting that a crewmember was suffering from pain behind the right eye and ear.
Coast Guard Station Venice launched a 41-foot utility boat and crew to the scene to assist. The crewmember was taken to Coast Guard Station Venice where she was transported by ambulance to Ochsner Medical Center in Gretna, La.
Her condition is unknown.
