NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a woman from a cruise ship approximately 9 miles southeast of Fort Morgan, Alabama, Thursday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a request at 8:43 p.m. from the cruise ship Carnival Fantasy for a medevac of a 54-year-old woman who had an injured shoulder.
Sector Mobile directed the launch of a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island to assist the woman.
The crew arrived on scene at 9:23 p.m. and transported the woman to emergency medical services at Station Dauphin Island.
