Coast Guard medevacs passenger from charter fishing vessel off Cape Canaveral, Fla.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Coast Guard medevaced a passenger from a charter fishing vessel approximately 13-miles off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Monday.

Operational watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville were notified at 2:05 p.m. Monday that a 59-year-old woman aboard the fishing vessel Orlando Princess was suffering from possible heart attack symptoms and needed medical attention.

A Coast Guard Station Canaveral 45-foot Response Boat-Medium rescue crew medevaced the patient who was accompanied by a nurse and was transported ashore to awaiting medical personnel.
