Coast Guard medevacs man with chest pains east of Port Sulphur

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a man experiencing chest pains approximately 30 miles east of Port Sulphur, Louisiana, Thursday.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report of the man at approximately 12:29 p.m.

Sector New Orleans directed the launch of a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Venice to assist the man.

The boat crew arrived on scene at 1:21 p.m. and transported the man to emergency medical services at Station Venice in stable condition.
