HOUSTON — The Coast Guard medevaced a 36-year-old man off a fishing vessel 50 miles southeast of Galveston Saturday afternoon.
At 11:20 a.m., the captain of the fishing vessel Captain John contacted Coast Guard Sector Houston watchstanders to report that a passenger was experiencing numbness in his left arm and chest pains.
A Coast Guard Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew arrived on scene at 12:45 p.m. and medevaced the man to University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston at 1:12 p.m.
The man’s condition is unknown.
