MIAMI — The Coast Guard medevaced a 67-year-old man Friday from a 40-foot pleasure craft near Flemming Key, Florida.
Coast Guard Sector Key West Command Center watchstanders received a report via cell phone of the passenger having symptoms of a heart attack at approximately noon.
Watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and launched a Coast Guard Station Key West 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew to assist.
The boat crew arrived on scene and transported the patient ashore to EMS with no further incidents.
