EMERALD ISLE, N.C. — The Coast Guard medevaced a man Sunday from a charter boat in Bogue Inlet.
Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector North Carolina Command Center in Wilmington received a report from the charter boat Nancy Lee III at about 11 a.m., stating a 54-year-old passenger was suffering spasms.
A 45-foot Response Boat Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Emerald Isle and Tow Boat U.S. responded to the Nancy Lee III. The patient and an EMT that Tow Boat U.S. brought to the scene were transferred to the Coast Guard RBM, who took the patient to Dudley’s Marina in Cedar Point for transfer to Carteret County EMS personnel.
“Due to their hard work and constant training, our crews were able to respond quickly to aid the man in getting the urgent care he needed,” said Chief Petty Officer Jeremy V. Thomas, Sector North Carolina Public Affairs Officer.
