Coast Guard medevacs man from fishing vessel

SEATTLE – A Coast Guard HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted and medically transported an 18-year-old male from a fishing vessel today 65 miles offshore of Warrenton, Ore.

Coast Guard Group Astoria received a call at approximately 2:45 p.m. reporting that a man onboard the Canadian flagged fishing vessel Tequila was experiencing an acute allergic reaction.

The helicopter crew conducted the medevac and transported the man to Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Ore.

An awaiting Medex ambulance transported the man to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria where he was reported in stable condition.
