NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a man who received a hand injury aboard a fishing vessel approximately 31 miles southeast of Pensacola Bay, Florida, Saturday.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report of the injured man at 4:49 a.m. and directed the launch of a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Pensacola with two emergency medical technicians aboard to assist the man.

The boatcrew arrived on scene at 6:16 a.m. and transported the man to EMS at Station Pensacola in stable condition.
