MOBILE, Ala. — The Coast Guard medevaced a man reportedly suffering from chest pain from a cruise ship, approximately 270 miles south of Dauphin Island, Ala., Sunday.
At approximately 7:45 a.m. Sunday, a crewmember aboard the Carnival cruise ship Fantasy contacted the Coast Guard requesting a medevac, stating that a 63-year-old man was having chest pain.
Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile launched an HH-60 rescue helicopter and crew, which arrived on scene at 1:31 p. m. The man was taken to U.S.A. Medical Center in Mobile.
His condition is unknown.
