Coast Guard medevacs man from cruise ship

NORFOLK, Va. – The Coast Guard medevaced a 60-year-old man from the cruise ship, Carnival Miracle, approximately 43 miles east of Oregon Inlet, N.C., Sunday.

The man was reported to of suffered from a heart attack and was showing signs of multiple medical issues.

An MH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter crew from Air Station Elizabeth City was launched to medevac the man, who was then taken to Norfolk Sentara General Hospital.
