The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 36-year-old man from a charter boat 15 miles northwest of Grays Harbor, Wash., Friday.
The crew of the charter boat Advantage contacted the Coast Guard at approximately 10:30 a.m. to report the man had fallen unconscious but was breathing. A 47-foot motor lifeboat crew from Coast Guard Station Grays Harbor along with an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Ore., were dispatched to the scene.
The motor lifeboat crew arrived on scene and escorted the Advantage to West Haven Marina near Westport, Wash., where the man was transferred to waiting emergency service personnel.
