Coast Guard medevacs man from Bald Head Island, NC

WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Coast Guard medevaced a 39-year-old man Tuesday from Bald Head Island, North Carolina.

Bald Head Island paramedics contacted Coast Guard Station Oak Island personnel at approximately 3 a.m. and requested assistance in transferring a patient suffering stomach pains to Deep Point Marina in Southport, North Carolina.

Coast Guard Station Oak Island launched a 25-foot Response Boat-Small crew. The crew picked up the man and a paramedic at the Bald Head Island Marina and transported them to Deep Port Marina where he was transferred to a waiting Southport EMS ambulance.
