HOUSTON — A man suffering from seizures was medevaced by a Coast Guard aircrew 50 miles southeast of Galveston, Texas in the Gulf of Mexico, Tuesday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Houston/Galveston received the initial report at 11:35 a.m., that a crewmember aboard the 239-foot crude oil tanker Eagle Stealth had collapsed after suffering a seizure.
Coast Guard Air Station Houston launched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter and crew to assist. When the aircrew arrived on scene at approximately 1:30 p.m., they hoisted the man from the deck of the vessel and transported him to the University of Texas Medical Branch for medical attention.
The condition of the man is unknown.
