CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Coast Guard medevaced a 65-year old man Monday 22 miles east of Charleston.

Coast Guard Sector Charleston Command Center watchstanders received a call at 2:37 p.m. from the 45-foot recreational vessel Sea Change stating a passenger suffered a head injury and was in need of medical attention.

A Coast Guard Station Charleston 45-foot Response Boat–Medium crew diverted to assist.

The RBM crew rendezvoused with the vessel, embarked the man and transported him to Station Charleston where emergency medical services were waiting.
