NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a 30-year-old man from a vessel approximately 100-miles south of Lake Charles, La., this afternoon.
A watchstander at Air Station New Orleans received a call at 9 a.m., from the Eighth District Command Center, reporting that a crewman working on the vessel Midnight Brave had been injured and was requesting a medevac.
Air Station New Orleans launched an HH-65C rescue helicopter and crew to assist.
The helicopter crew arrived on scene, hoisted the injured crewman and then transport him to Christmas St. Patrick’s Hospital in Lake Charles.
The crewman injuries are unknown.
