Southeastern Coast Guard NewsCOQUINA KEY, Fla. — A 66-year-old man was medevaced by Coast Guard Station Cortez crewmembers from his fishing vessel 10 miles west of Longboat Key Monday.

A crewmember aboard the 50-foot fishing vessel Reel Sexy contacted Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg watchstanders at 5 a.m. requesting a medevac for the man who was reported to be suffering from cardiac complications.
