Coast Guard medevacs crewman near Grays Harbor, Wash.

SEATTLE – The Coast Guard performed a medevac of an injured crewmember from a fishing vessel approximately 40-miles west of Grays Harbor, Wash., at 5:42 p.m., Monday.

Coast Guard Sector Columbia River, in Astoria, Ore., was notified at 3:40 p.m., of a 22-year old, male crewmember suffering from abdominal pains on the 276-foot fishing vessel Pacific Glacier.

A Coast Guard HH-60J Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, hoisted the man and transported him to Bowerman Airport in Hoquiam, Wash. Awaiting EMS transported the man to Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Wash.
