Coast Guard medevacs boaters from Rhode River near Annapolis, Md.

29 MayportBALTIMORE — The Coast Guard medevaced a boater Saturday from the Rhode River near Annapolis, Maryland.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Maryland-National Capital Region received a distress call on VHF-FM marine radio channel 16 from a boater experiencing dizziness and chest pains.

Sector Maryland-NCR issued an urgent marine information broadcast and launched a 29-foot Response Boat-Small boat crew from Coast Guard Station Annapolis.

The 29-foot RBS boat crew towed the vessel to a pier at Camp Letts where they transferred the boater to awaiting emergency medical personnel.
