Coast Guard medevacs 17-year-old from fishing vessel off Ocean City, NJ

Mid Atlantic Coast Guard NewsATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 17-year-old girl with an eye injury aboard a fishing vessel approximately 10 miles east of Ocean City.

A boat crew from Coast Guard Station Small Great Egg responded to the call and transferred the girl ashore to local EMS personnel.

Search and rescue coordinators from Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay received notification of the incident from the fishing vessel North Star at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Station Small Great Egg is a subordinate unit of Coast Guard Station Atlantic City.
