Coast Guard medevacs 1 near Two-Mile Bridge in Cape May, N.J.

CAPE MAY, N.J. ? Coast Guard Station Cape May medevaced a 45-year-old female in the vicinity of the Two-Mile Bridge in Cape May after the 45-foot boat she was aboard ran aground Monday.

The Coast Guard received a call at approximately 1:57 p.m. from a crewmember aboard the boat reporting the female had two broken legs and facial lacerations. The reporting source, a 63-year old male, also sustained some lacerations.

A 25-foot Response Boat crew arrived on scene and transported the female back to the station where she was transferred to awaiting emergency medical personnel and transported to Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May where she was reported in stable condition.

The 63-year-old male is in good condition and will stay with his vessel.
