Coast Guard medevacs 1 near Tarpon Springs, Fla.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A 28-year-old man was medically evacuated by the Coast Guard 46 miles west of Tarpons Springs, Saturday.

A crewmember aboard the 36-foot recreational boat, Private Stock, contacted Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg watchstanders at 11:37 p.m., via VHF-FM channel 16 radio reporting the man was experiencing stomach cramps, cold sweats and tremors.

An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater arrived on scene, hoisted the patient and trasported him to Tampa General Hospital in stable condition.
