ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Coast Guard located two divers today after they failed to resurface from a 138-foot dive about 35 miles east of Indian River Bay, Del.
The Coast Guard was notified at about 12:50 p.m. via VHF marine radio by a passenger who remained on the boat.
The search for the missing divers included an HH-65C Dolphin helicopter rescue crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City and a rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Indian River, Del.
The crew of the helicopter located the divers and a rescue swimmer was deployed. The rescue swimmer is with the two survivors, awaiting the arrival of the boat crew from Coast Guard Station Indian River, Del.
