NEW ORLEANS- Coast Guard and local authorities are searching for four missing boaters near Manchac, La.
Missing are:
- Ronald Anthony, 32
- Stephanie McNeese, 17
- Ward Oubre, 24
- Amber Purkeo, 19
The four missing boaters were last heard from when Stephanie McNeese called her mother Marry McNeese to tell her they were on their way home Saturday at approximately 4:30 p.m. The missing boaters were reported to the Coast Guard Monday at approximately 12:30 p.m. by Mary McNeese.
The boaters were reported to be in a 14-foot aluminum flat boat with a green hull and blue carpet in Pass Manchac near the town of Manchac.
HH-65C rescue helicopter crews from Air Station New Orleans have flown three search flights, with a first light search planned for Tuesday morning.
25-foot response boat crews from Station New Orleans have launched two surface searches, also has a first light search scheduled for Tuesday morning.
St. Charles sheriff’s office has searched with a small boat crew.
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is scheduled to assist in the search Tuesday morning.
