NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard is searching for two possible people in the water in Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana, Wednesday.

Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report from a towing vessel of an overturned 10-foot camouflage flat boat in Lake Pontchartrain approximately one nautical mile east of the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, Wednesday.

The reporting source also stated that he had seen the same vessel Tuesday at the same location with two people aboard.

Involved in the search are:

– Coast Guard Station New Orleans 25-foot Response Boat-Small boat crew

– Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew

– Jefferson Parish Police Department
