Coast Guard searching for persons in the water in Mobile Bay, Alabama

NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard and local agencies are searching for two people in the water in Mobile Bay, Alabama, Friday.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report at approximately 5:00 a.m. of a capsized fishing vessel approximately five miles south of the entrance to Mobile Bay.

A nearby Good Samaritan vessel rescued one passenger from the water in fair condition. Two passengers are still missing.
