Coast Guard lifts port conditions in Savannah following Tropical Storm Fay

SAVANNAH, Ga., – The captain of the port for Savannah established port readiness condition four at 2 p.m. Friday for coastal Savannah due to the movement of Tropical Storm Fay.

The captain of the port of Savannah removed all hurricane readiness conditions that were imposed in advance of Tropical Storm Fay. With the return to port condition four in Savannah, all marine operations including waterfront facility and vessel transits may occur, which are subject to prudent seamanship and safe work practices.

Port condition four is the normal port condition during hurricane season.
