Coast Guard lifts port condition Zulu for Cape Fear River zone

FORT MACON, N.C. — The Captain of the Port lifted port condition Zulu for the Cape Fear River Zone Friday.

The port of Wilmington is now open to all vessel traffic based on a satisfactory preliminary channel survey that was conducted by the Coast Guard and Army Corps of Engineers for the Cape Fear River entrance channel. All mariners are reminded to proceed with extreme caution due to the potential for shoaling, unmarked hazards, and missing or off-station navigational aids.

Please report any hazardous conditions to the nearest Coast Guard unit.
