Coast Guard Investigates Vessel Collision

LITTLE RIVER, S.C. – Coast Guard Sector Charleston is investigating a vessel collision in the Little River Fishing Village yesterday at approximately 12:58 a.m.

While attempting to moor, the U.S. flagged casino vessel Diamond Girl II collided with the already moored fishing vessel Golden Retriever II. The casino vessel had passengers aboard, and the fishing vessel did not have anyone aboard during the collision. There were no reports of injuries and no reports of fuel spilled into the water.

The operators of the Diamond Girl II are fully cooperating with the Coast Guard during its investigation.
