Coast Guard interdicts 71 Cuban migrants

7th Coast Guard District NewsMIAMI — The Coast Guard interdicted 71 Cuban migrants at sea during five separate incidents since April 4, 66 of whom were repatriated over the past five days to Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba.

Five Cuban migrants were transferred to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, for further processing.

Once aboard a Coast Guard cutter, all migrants are provided with food, water, shelter and basic medical attention.
