ALAMEDA, Calif. — The Coast Guard held a remembrance ceremony Wednesday at Coast Guard Island to mark the 75th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
Rear Adm. Todd Sokalzuk, Eleventh Coast Guard District commander, spoke at the ceremony prior to the laying of a wreath, the playing of Taps, and a 21-gun salute in honor of those lost during the attack.
The ceremony also included musical numbers and an historical display.
